advice needed .. on a "data only" or similar ...package .

Be gentle !!.. not techie . and treading into dangerous waters here ... hence the reason i'm asking for advice .

Seperate to my mobile phone minutes/text contract .....(and that's the way i want to keep it ) .... for a few years i've had an O2 "data only" contract .. as a business user ... £15 a month inc vat.
With it new i got a free blackberry .. and each 12 months .. or lastly 18 months ... i've had a free upgrade .
Much to my amazement last upgrade they willingly offerred me a top spec one that i immediately sold on ebay for £200+ .. which practically covered my 18 months at £15 a month !!!

That 18 months is up in august ... so i rang o2 today .. hoping of course to repeat as per last year .

Sadly not to be ,,, they say the £15 data only is finished ... i can keep it going but no free handsets

or ... i move it to a tariff that's £21+vat ... for 24 months ... which does include all sorts of minutes..texts etc .. that i don't need or want .. and i can have a handset worth about £150 .. but that only just covers the extra monthly cost ... let alone covering the whole contract cost which is what i'm trying to achieve !!

So ...... have i got another option ... and this is where i need advice ....

i see these days that a lot of "normal" phone contracts with minutes & texts .. do have "data" included.

Do i find one of those that is a 18 month contract .. with a 16 or 17 month cashback deal , quidco etc ... . which then gets me the nearlt free overall cost i want ... and then just put that sim into my exsisting blackberry and presumably re-set up the re-routing of emails system that i currently use ?

I don't use internet or anything .. it's basically about 30 emails a day that come in to my 3 email addresses .. that are pushed through to my blackberry .. that i can then read .. and do quick reply to .

I would just get a sim that gives data only, three do a data only sim for £5 a month that gives 1gb of data, one month contract so you can cancel if you see a better offer elsewhere.

It would save all the hassle of having to claim redemption cashback etc.
And for just over a quid a week its not much to collect all your emails.

The Three data only would not cover the £5/month that pays for use of the Blackberry Internet Server (BIS) that you will need to be able to receive email on your Blackberry. Have you tired speaking to someone at CPW to see which providers other Data only Blackberry deals.
