Sky Broadband Connect

I recently ordered and received my sky hd package. I phoned up and got a good deal off them but have now received a letter after chasing for a few weeks that I cannot receive the unlimited broadband and they have put me on Broadband Connect. Had i going for 2 days and it's slow and poor. Question is can I cancel my whole package as they are unable to provide the package I ordered or would I be stuck with just cancelling the broadband. The tv was fitted 3rd July, phone 21st July and broadband 27th July. Thanks for any help guys

If your exchange has no LLU options then switching is unlikely to help. When you signed up and entered your number it would have told you that you were not on a Sky LLU exchange?
What speed does your line support, and what speed are you actually getting?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Did they install a microfilter on the telephone line before it goes into the HD box?

Avoid Sky Connect it is dire, as well as being very poor value.

Their routers are poor but pretty much everything else is down to BT & Openreach isnt it?

No, my daughter used the Sky Connect service for a short while, it constantly disconnected/ ran very slow, their helpline was useless.

She changed to a better provider, problem solved.

Thanks for the reply. My phoneline was not activated when i ordered so no number was available to check. Spoke to Technical Support and changed the setup.(Engineer had put sky line direct into socket without microfilter) so is running slightly better. At least I can get access now.

Am still within the period to cancel and virgin is available so may just cancel anyway.

    Thanks for all your help
