  • Great post!!

I first started writing to people in the forces 10 years ago!! I am only 26 now and wrote my first letter when i was in the last year of school. I worte to 4 guys and a girl and can happily say it was one of the besdt things i did! I am still in contact with 2 of the blokes (although they are no longer in the forces) and 1 of them is even godfather to my son! I was also 'best women' at his wedding. He is the bestest mate i could ever of asked for and i would never of found him if i ha't of wrote that first letter. He was based in germany when i first staterd writing.

My sister also wrote to people too and she and her 'penpal' have just celebrated there 10th wedding anniversary!

Don;t get me wrong im not saying use it as a datng agency....but you can make some lifelong fabulous friends!

But as others have said, please be careful when giving out personal info....just because they are in the forces it does not make them 'safe'. Use your jugement and you should be fine :)

Go and make someones week :)
  • Another thing.... don't forget the women out there too!!! They would also appreciate recieving mail

    hi all!!

just to update you i have now had approx 150 pms for this, which is just brilliant; except for keeping me sooo busy emptying my inbox!! my OH says i have got a computer addiction, he doesnt ever come on the computer, i told him what i had done and he started providing me with cups of tea and cooked tea the other night as i was busy on here , and he thought i was "doing a grand job!"

    LOL

i got my confirmation thing today from the ebluey website, thought it was my first reply, but no it wasnt!

how many ppl have written letters so far then?

thats my good deed for the week!!!!!

it my hen do tomoro so apologies in advance to anyone who pms me from 4pm tomoro, it will be sunday when i get back to you... probably sunday afternoon!!
  • I wrote a few last night! Hope my rambling rubbish doesn't bore them too much!

Will any replies arrive on ebluey or through the post like our ebluey's arrive to our 'penpals'? I couldn't figure it out!!! As on the preview letter your address is visible, couldn't it just be an e-mail address if messages were just going to the ebluey site? Very confusing!

You are doing a grand job emma, have a great hen do!
