I've been given the details of a squaddie in Afganistan who gets no mail, not even from his family. I want to make him the most popular guy on the camp.

That's terrible (the family bit) - he's better off away from them with relations like that!

Perhaps we could get a campaign going to get him collectively written to or supported by MSE - then he'd be the most famous bloke in the Army too!!

To thank you to everyone who responded to my plea for letters to a squaddie in Afghanistan:

His boss says "He thought it was a wind up when he finally got some mail. I really do thank you all for doing that".
The lad himself writes, "It is morale boosting to get mail as you know, I have not had a lot since I've been out here. So that has placed a smile on my face."

So lets keep writing!
