Buying a house is a very personal thing. What you may like a house to look like others may not. I don't think its faior that people just drive off or don't show.
Are there any reasons why they have decided not to look further? Is the house on an estate, are there any neighbours with messy gardens (scrap cars etc). Is there any grafitti around or damaged phone boxes etc. Are there any youths that hang around ther area? Are there any power lines nearby or buisness units etc etc. All these things put some people off and are not normally described in the EA's details!
  • eh.. they could have spent 15 minutes looking round your place with absolutely no intention of buying as they had decided before walking in they did not want it.

Just look at it as they were not interested (rather than a no show!!) and get some feedback from them. If it was something you can change then fine.. otherwise it can be something the EA tells any new veiwers prior to them making an arrangement.

Personally I think they should have at least rung the doorbell and said they were going to view but have decided against it.

there is nothing untoward in our area.
the people who generally buy in our city (Dundee, Scotland) tend to know the good/bad/indifferent areas. our area did have a reputation in the late 70's-80's but has been redeveloped and now looks great.
there are the odd tell tale signes of "youth activity" lets say but no burnt out cars, vandalised telephone boxes, graffiti.
the viewers wer in the local EA, saw our schedule, which shows a pic of the outside, and asked the EA to phone through an appt.

    i don't now, some people.
i called the EA ona different matter, and mentioned the no show. so they are going to call and ask why.
