3 Mobile Broadband - £5 PAYG or £10 PAYG?

Hi guys

I've seens on ebay a few people offering Unlimited PAYG Mobile Broadband for £5 a month rather than the £10 / 1GB offering.

Looking at the Three website I gather one is an extension of a mobile tariff (£5 per month) and the other the Mobile Broadband itself.

However what is to stop you using the "phone" sim in a dongle?

Basically my mum is after mobile broadband in her caravan when she goes away (just to check emails, facebook, play a few games etc online).

My missus has a three branded phone so in theory could we pop the sim in there, top it up and then just chuck it in the dongle and pass it to my mum?

Any help, advice in doing this/setting it up would be much appreciated.

Thanks
