I've been contacted by a company called wefightanyclaim.com (I've spoken to someone at my home, over the phone and visited the wesbsite) and they say I am entitled to money back from a previous credit card I had, just wondering if anyones had any experience with this company? Thanks

there has been a few threads recently. Seems like another fly by night claims company that is phoning around people to take money off them up front and will probably disappear with that like the others.they say I am entitled to money back from a previous credit card
When the word "entitled" is used then you should be on guard. You are not entitled to anything.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi there
If you have been mis sold your PPI for any reason, then personally I would give it a go yourself with help from this site.
Its all free, where if you use a claims company, you will of course be liable for charges on success.
All you have to do is complete a questionnaire, and send to whoever was responsible for the mis selling of the policy - and they have 8 weeks in full to respond.
You will find more on the link below, to the guidelines of reclaiming with the questionnaire you use.

Lots have had problems by using claims companies, and there are also a few threads on here - with many unhappy customers, and some are still waiting over a year or 2 down the line for their cases to be resolved.
Its well worth giving it a go yourself.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I have had these guys knocking my door - even though I have a no cold callers sign on the door. They took my name/add/tel no. and said someone would call be re the money I could claim back. I was a bit wary 'cos I don't like people knocking at my door and should have told them to 'go away' but I didnt, I listened and then signed the contact details form to agree that they could call me.
I have now read plenty of posts on here about how they are complete cowboys and to avoid them. I havent given them any further information but am worried that they could use the signature I gave them to process anything without my knowledge. I havent given them any bank account details so they can't take money from there....can they?
When they call me I am going to tell them that I've changed my mind but wish I'd just told him to b****r off at the door cos now I'm worried sick that I may have done something stupid :-(0 -

Hi there
Glad you told them where to go, well done and good for you.:T
Try to cover yourself, maybe the Ministry of justice (MOJ) will have something to say about this, tell them your worried about this, they should be able to advise.;)

Even though I cannot see it coming to anything, but to ease your mind, see what the MOJ have to say, good luck. XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

They are not allowed to cold call like that. It is a breach of their guidelines. You should report them to the MoJ.
The MoJ seem a bit weak on individual complaints but they do seem to act when certain numbers build upI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). We had these people at our door yesterday and stupidly I agreed to let them call me back today. To cut a long story short, they told me I was entitled to almost £4K and all I had to do was pay about £750 over the phone to set the ball rolling. The advisor was reluctant to send paperwork for me to check over before committing (and paying), asking me 'what was I worried about?' and that 'if I put it on a credit card I was protected if I wasn't happy'.
I asked him to hold the line to give me a moment to get my wallet (which was next to me) while I typed WE FIGHT ANY CLAIM into google, that led me here and after a quick scan of the threads made my mind up! When I picked up the phone again and explained what I had read the advisor became very defensive. He said 'type in SAINSBURYS COMPLAINTS and see how many people moan about the big retailers, everyone has some complaints made against them' ....how reassuring! Thankfully I gave no account numbers.
A couple of hours my wife got her call (she filled in the form at the door too). That call was ended very quickly!
Many thanks to all that have posted about this company on here. I have little doubt that you have saved us a big headache!0 -
'if I put it on a credit card I was protected if I wasn't happy'.
Also, I recently read that if you use the same credit card you are complaining about to pay the claims company that you could be committing fraud. Dont know if that is true or if it just relates to credit card reclaims. I just read it on another thread here.I typed WE FIGHT ANY CLAIM into google, that led me hereI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
