Hello everyone
I have a 1mb broadband connection with talktalk but find that it will not allow a wireless router to be connected as despite broadband the service is still launched through the dial up connection of windows
any ideas as to how i can get around this
the router is a linksys 2.4 ghz
any ideas gratefully recieved thanks AL

You simply need to disable the dial up connection. Once connected your router will maintain the connection to your ISP and you will no longer need to connect.
If you are using IE, Tools, Options, Conections, Check the Never Dial a Conection box.

As above, make sure you have your user ID and Password entered in the Broadband Modem/Router, and it has syncronised with the line.
The just adjust the Internet Explorer connection properties to "Never Dial a Connection" and now, when you double click Internet Explorer you should connect through your network cable, the Broadband Router, and on to the internet.
The router will actually maintain a Broadband connection to the service until you turn it off, and your PC and applications can use the service as they require. Personally my Broadband Router is running 24 hours a day.
