Lefthand drive vehicle

Well the fact remains, LHD vehicles, on a like for like basis, attract a premium over RHD ones in the UK.
I don't set the prices...
Oh, I'm not being argumentative, I'm just curious.
Price of (almost) anything is a matter of supply and demand. For LHD vehicles to be more expensive than RHD indicates that there are more people wanting a LHD car than there are LHD cars available.
But why? Apart from a small number of people like the OP who will be exporting the vehicle, what advantage is there in spending more on a LHD car? They are more expensive to insure, you have problems at ticket barriers, toll booths and drive-thru McDonalds, I would assume that some parts are harder to get hold of (and therefore dearer).0 -
There are a lot of Brits that own second homes in France, Spain etc.;)
Also a lot of Poles that buy here and take back to Poland etc.0 -
When my parents were looking for a left hand drive car for Spain, it was cheaper to buy one here and take it to Spain than it was to buy one over there. I imagine that's another reason there's a premium on the price. This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0

I presume this is the event.

This bit sounds interesting. There are security concerns in Mauritania and we pass through an area which the Foreign Office advises against all travel, their highest threat level and on par with Iraq or Afghanistan. We aim to provide an armed convoy through Mauritania however teams should realise that Insurance will not be available from any company for this element and you should be prepared to turn round and travel around Morocco should circumstances dictate. We called off the run in Dec 2009 as there was insufficient time to organise an armed convoy, however aim to do this for the next run.0 -
