Nonsense text from O2

Just recieved a text from O2 telling me I have sent 6450 UK texts this month, but I haven't been charged for one of them.
Goes on "that's because you're on our best-value tariff with unlimited texts every month".
I haven't sent more than a couple of hundered texts at most. I never send more than 300 texts a month, normally nearer to 100.
Anyone else had a ridiculous text from them.

Just had one saying i sent 59829... why im online now checking my O2 account.
O2 are really getting on my nerves now. Wish i could leave but they are the only network i can get around here.0 -
I've just had the same. Saying I've sent 10480 texts. I don't think I've sent that many in the entire time I've had mobiles. I average between 50-100 texts a month.0

Seems like they are spamming their own customers, quite ridiculous.
Could panic people into thinking that someone might have got hold of their phone number somehow and using it in some dodgy way.0 -
I have just spent 20 mins on the phone to them.
I went into blind panic this morning when I got a message saying I had sent 4800 texts last month (I usually use about 50 !)
I rang up to report what I thought must be some sort of fraud.
They confirm its a mistake but cant tell me what the actual problem is and apparently cant put anything in writing to me to confirm I havent actually used this many :mad:0 -

Sorry. The message we sent you recently about your mobile usage was wrong. We'll send you the right one soon.
Well if it wasn't automated, my reply would be don't bother. The message was only a look at us aren't we wonderful for allowing unlimited texts (yeah like no other company does) message.
Seems silly but it really aggrevaited me, first time really as up until then I've been 100% happy with them, phone and broadband wise.0
