Leaving t-mobile (PUK) and iPhone on 3 (availability)

Planning on grabbing an iPhone 4 on 3, hopefully on Friday when they are released.

Currently out of contract with T-Mobile, but it is still running.
How quickly will they give me the PUK and let me cancel the contract?

Also, would do people think the availability of the iPhone 4 on 3 will be like? Am I likely to get it from a 3 store or best to go online?

You have to give (or pay in lieu) one month's notice.

You want a PAC (not a puk) which they give you virtually immediately after requesting it.

Thanks, so would it be best to phone and cancel the contract now (once I've got the PAC), or wait until I've purchased the iPhone 4 contract?

You need to first give them your notice, at the same time ask for the PAC. Make sure you use the PAC before it expires, otherwise you have to start the whole procedure again. (Your "old" phone stays "live" till the PAC has completed on your new phone).

If the iphone falls through for some reason, and you don't use the PAC in time, it should just expire and your contract will continue until you repeat the exercise and use the PAC.

All 3stores will have good availability on Friday just take a debit card and Passport. The store I work in has over 30 being delivered

You can reserve your iphone4 from 3 store,ialready did that,tuk my driving license and debit card,they did a credit check and said to collect ip4 on friday,its reserved for me so u can do the same

Great thanks, just phoned local store and they've reserved me one!

Now to get my PAC, should be fun listening to the guy beg me to stay with some ridiculous offer.
