  • I'm on a mission to earn £54 in clubcard points by next Easter so that the family can have Merlin passes. My husband has been made redundant, so I want to do it without spending too much extra. What do you suggest?

Here are a few tips to boost your Clubcard points:
    • Shop online rather than in store and use voucher codes (there is a separate thread titled “Tesco Voucher Codes-NO CHAT THREAD 4” which contains voucher codes)
    • Get your shopping delivered without bags to earn some additional Green Clubcard points (or if you shop in-store take your own bags with you). Aside from this you can also earn Green Clubcard points for recycling old mobile phone handsets, printer cartridges and aluminium cans if you have any of these lying around?
    • Use the vouchers which are included with your Clubcard statement
    • Look out for periodic promotions where Tesco give away inflated amounts of points. The number of Clubcard points can sometimes outweigh the cost of the product (this has happened in the past with things like wine, CD’s and dog food) although you say you don't want to spend too much extra so this may not be suitable.
    • If you drive a vehicle fill up at Tesco petrol stations
    • Carry your Clubcard with you all the time and get additional cards for your family and members of your household so you all accumulate points towards the same account
    • Ensure you get points everywhere you spend money with Tesco (e.g. Tesco Mobile, Insurance, Money, Opticians plus any third parties where you can accumulate points, like E.On)
    • Take out a Clubcard Credit Card to accumulate points faster (although I should point out you get a better ROI paying on a cash back credit card)

Anyone know (apart from the current £10 off a £75 or more buy) if Tesco Direct are offering any current bonus points off electricals at the moment?. Was thinking of getting a tv just short of £500 but can get it elsewere for near £40 less, so any bonus points offer with tesco would mean buying there instead.
