Just got back from work.. Been there since 7am.. Will be back there tomorrow, over the weekend and Monday...:o
..however a very nice surprise awaited me when I got home.. A lovely birthday and present from wonderful friends.. So thoughtful.. They are amazing..
Don't think I will last long tonight.. Maybe DVD in bed and will probably be fast asleep soon..
No money news.. All accounts reconciled but no mega win on the lottery yet.. maybe tomorrow, that would be nice..
Hope you are all well and have a nice Easter weekend

Oh crikey Froggy, how have you managed to end up working all weekend? I hope it went well and that by now you are safely installed back at home?
Hopefully they've paid you well too for the weekend/bank holiday work?
Regards

...and surface for air...:o...
Spent the last 4 days in work..not a happy bunny.. I have left the hospitality industry 10 years ago because I wanted a proper social life..did not know that a desk job would end up bringing the same issues..
I don't remember in the last 4 days having a proper meal (now have pasta & chicken on the stove).. Tomorrow does not look any better, it's deadlines day so a another very long & stressful day..
I have hinted that I wanted to book a couple of days holidays next week, all I got from my boss is a killer look..great, I am so far behind with everything at home and I just need to chill.. I would like to spend some quality time with my friends..
Hope you all had a much better Easter weekend than me..

Hi Froggy, keep building relationships, widen your sphere of influence (if not control) and hopefully the next opportunity will turn up.

Hi Froggy, hopefully by now your tum will have given that chicken pasta a good home
Chin up and I know it's easy for me to say but try and take some positives from this e.g. how flexible a team member you are being. Also, you must be impressing them as you're still pretty new in role yet they are trusting you to do extra work?
Are you managing to find time to do things for yourself that you enjoy e.g. have you joined any local table tennis teams since you moved?
Regards

Thanks Lois, ATT & Radish.. Your posts are much appreciated..
Unfortunately, extra days are unpaid.. We are supposed to get 1.5 days extra off but management makes it so difficult to book time off..
Chicken pasta was lush, I feel so full now..
As to hobbies, I have not yet found a table tennis club, as working hours are so up in the air, it makes it difficult to guarantee I will be available for every practice or game..
As to taking time off, I still want to get away for a couple of days, my heart says yes, you need some chillout time, my brain says no way, you're wasting your money and you're already behind your target.. Am I fighting a losing battle??!?!?
Oh well, I will finish my episode of Criminal Minds and jump in bed.. Any idea, suggestions always welcome..

I think a large glass of french wine is in order.. I deserve it.. I have put my request for 3 days holidays for next week.. Still waiting to see if it will be approved..
