The suit may well be italian (italian fabric). Or did they specifically state "it will be made by an italian"?
Did you pay in cash or by credit or debit card? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Bespoke suits start at £2,500 to £3,000. Sounds as if you got what you paid for.0

I can make a great Chinese Hot and Sour Soup..... Doesn't make me a Chinaman.
Why does a "very poor" person spend £700 on a suit?
Not just the expense of the Suit... but what was it for??
Doesn't sounds like the sort of person who rubs shoulders with the rich!0 -

You can take anyone you like to court. It's if you will win is the question. Get some proper legal/consumer advice speak to the CAB and even consumer direct and even your local trading standards. You will then be in a better position to make an informed choice of your next move.

This post is brought to you in association with the word "troll" ...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Thanks for this. I wasn't poor then but the recession has court up with me. It's too complicated to go into here but it's like if someone has what seems like a steady job, buys something, then is made redundent and suddenly the amount that they spent becomes significant.
Not that that is why I want my money back. The suit is of appalling quality.0 -
Ok, Laurence. You've got two choices.
1. Pursue your card company. You are claiming that the goods were not "as described" as it was described as a perfect fit but it doesn't fit.
This may involve various phone calls to various people / departments as they often don't know how to deal with this.
2. Pursue the tailors. Coming apart after being worn once is faulty. They have to refund you.
This may involve you taking them to court.
Choose which route you think would be easier and go for it.
Personally I'd give the tailor one more chance at putting things right and if that fails then go down the card company route.0 -

From the reaction I assumed that there was a less than helpful post before yours that had been removed. That response to your post makes no sense at all.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
