A Payment A Day - Part 9

  • Much as I love cricket, this made me laugh. In local cricket clubs there is incredible rivallry between the wives and girlfriends etc. about who produces the best teas.

Paul - is the weather affecting your business, I remember last year you had problems.

Pad for me just a lowly £1 to the cc please

So far, the impact has been fairly minor.
We are snowless in this area though it sounds like that might change.
The issues at the moment are more about temperature. I have to take extra safety precautions on very cold days such as sprinkling rock salt on certain areas when I leawe water around. That and other measures that I won't bore you with tend to slow me down. Also, in spite of draining the pipework in the van last night, I still found that the pump wouldn't pump the water first thing as there was probably a thin layer of ice left in it. I had to resort to using a jug to get water from the tank and tipping it into a small, mobile sprayer that I've adapted. That worked fine as I bring that indoors with the hose reel. So I work but at a reduced pace. No problem. If I can get to a job and the temperature stays above -1, I can struggle on. The warmest it got all day was zero.

I was thinking of taking up cricket until I realised you meant the tea that you drink :D

In local cricket clubs, tea means sandwiches and home made cake, served with tea. Not sure they get the same at The Ashes.

Evening everyone, hope you're all managing to keep warm. Got the fire roaring nicely here, feet, legs, hands & arms = warm, nose = freezing cold. How does that work?

Anyway, PAD today of £83.10 to CC2. Have a good (& warm) weekend everyone! :coffee:

Nearly there eh? Unless one or two come up with super PADs it looks like your original projection of early December will be right. Especially as Sundays are normally very quiet in PADland.
Anyway, a PAD today from me of £13.23
  • Under £2.5k - thats brilliant, but won't be helped much by my 34p :)

Well done on the adding up.
