Change the pads in sufficient time and you would save the cost of changing discs (this is a lot more expensive than pads only). Please note that if the discs are showing signs of being worn anyway, changing pads only is a false economy. This is because the pads would need to be changed a lot more frequently if fitted on worn discs. Of course, if you were going to sell the car soon anyway................ but that would be between you and your conscience.
I had new discs/ pads fitted 2 years ago so can't see it being that? But there again I know nowt lol
I couldn't afford to sell it and even if I did I would get it sorted before I sold it on to someone or I would tell them what was wrong with it - I'm too honest for my own good sometimes I think!:ADebt @ LBM - £25,722 Debt now - £11,811 DFD - April 2012

A Welsh guy phones ASDA customer services and tells them there's no topping on his pizza. He starts asking for pizza delievery because ASDA is too far away and he doesn't have anything for his dinner.
Anyway, a minute or so into the call, he says 'oh, I've opened it upside down' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

Do you know anyone who works as, or for, a garage?
I used to go running to my BIL for this sort of stuff, as he works for a garage. Oh, and if you then turn up to collect the car and pay, in skin tight jeans and a low cut top, they give you a discount too.
Not that I've ever done that of course.:whistle:February wins: Theatre tickets0
