Thanks for the comments about the tv. Currently watching one on ebay, its on for £1.99, finished tonight and so far has no bids, also within 5 miles of us so fingers crossed!!

I'm after a bit of advice. Its OHs BIL to be birthday soon, for various reasons (including him threatening me) we dont particularly like him. However we are civil to him for the sake of family harmony and was thinking of getting him a token present - again just to keep the peace - we asked his sister what he wanted and she said money, however I am not prepared to put £10 in his card (as stingey as that may sound!). We cant even afford to spend £10 on ourselves at the minute so certainly not going to give it to someone we dont really like!!

So if anyone has any ideas for a cheap (preferbly £5 or less) token present I would appreciate them!

I saw some christmassy toiletry thingys in tesco today... was looking at them thinking they reminded me of boots stuff.... they were about 4 or 5 quid each.... wilkinsons sword one, then womens smellies. might be worth a look though x

EDIT: not that i think you should have to get him anything, but knowing what my friends in-laws are like, it's easier to keep the peace than deal with the brown stuff x

  • The threat of Angelic clearly worked as yesterdays total was a much nicer £1479.08

Special thanks to Paul for his large PAD :D

    Hi everyone!

    Hope you are all ok.

Just a small PAD today of 40p please. Rounding down my account.

I am home alone tonight as my bloke has gone off to work away for the weekend, I quite like having the house to myself!

I'm also pleased because it means I won't have to watch the commonwealth games. SOoooo over it? And does anyone else find it really stupid that the women get all excited about getting a gold medal when they are still quite clearly miles slower than the blokes? All you see is that bleddy Adlington woman looking all smug, you're not as fast as Phelps though are you love, keep practicing! :p

In other things that are annoying me, the EDL :mad::mad: are planning a march through Leicester this weekend (even though they've been told they can't) which, as well as them and everything they stand for being absolutely disgusting, has also scuppered my plans to go into town and do some xmas shopping.

Anyway, on a brighter note I received my first ever competition win today :T a tube of fake tan :rotfl: that I can't even remember entering for!

Hope you are all enjoying your Friday nights :)

    What's the EDL?

Is it anything to do with 'white power'?! When we were there, there was a protest in the middle of the city about 'white power', some guy was shouting about 'white Power' and how 'England would be better without' certain ethnic groups...One of them offered my a leaflet and said something like 'Don't let England go to waste' - I looked at him, told him I'm Scottish and ran away :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
