Sounds like the sort of useless rubbish I could easily get addicted to :D OH has one on his phone where you have to use your fingers to run along the screen, think its supposed to be 100metres - he got really cross with me coz he said I was slamming my fingers down trying to beat him and said I would break the phone. I did beat him as it happens :D:rotfl:

Hopefully the new windows will reduce gas bill.... eventually...
the cars should(?) not cost any more for a year (?)..
And the weddings... well we enjoyed them:)

Hi all, I've just got back from the football which was nice to have won for a change, LondonAndy have you been following all the drama? Whaddya think to Sven? I'm not convinced myself but we'll see...

Also we won one of our bets so £1.40 pad today please (we bet small :money: so win small :rotfl:)

I have to go and check see if any DD's have come out on internet banking.

I know I say this every month but I seriously have to move from Santander, A&L were fine but these are rubbish. I send my grocery money over to my Tesco CCplus and it's gone by BACS instead of faster payments despite me sending one last month which went by FP. So I've had to transfer an extra £50 to make it last while I wait and will have to do a little weekly shop instead of a big monthly shop

Have a good eve everyone xx

There are several now lengthy threads on Santander's incompetence.
I still do some of my banking with them because I find the ability to deposit cash and cheques 24/7 at an ATM very helpful. That's the only reason I still do anything with them.
Some people switching from A & L have lost access to certain accounts and money - for several weeks in some cases. There are also tales of bounced direct debits due to sort code changes etc etc. Tales of terrible incompetence. My own issues with them haven't been as serious but their niggling balls ups leave me greatly irritated at times.
If they were competent, I would be doing more business with them but I just can't risk it.

Oh great, so even if I try and switch away I could end up getting messed about? Although if I go to say First Direct (have been toying with the idea for a while now) and use their switching service surely it is down to FD if anything goes wrong, they have to sort out any issues with missed payments and so on? I can see that as a business you have to be much more careful though Paul.

The issues I've had is simply unreliable transfers, nothing as serious as what I've read about, but I enjoyed the convenience of being able to move money about at will with A&L faster payments - not haveing to send money in 3/4 different lots in the hope that one of them makes it there that day!
