Cars reversed into eachother 50/50 but now one is blaming the other.

OK insurers love 50/50.Are you saying if I had an accident where no one person could be found to blame, and both claimed, and i had say £100 excess, I would only lose £50?0

Yes, (if it was agreed as a 50/50 liability). You would pay your excess as usual, but claim it off the third party, as well as your other uninsured losses. As 50/50 had been agreed, you would get 50% of your claim paid (so £50 of your excess).0
