Number porting - Effect on cashback
I just bought a new Orange contract phone off e2save with a cashback offer on it (payable after month 6 and 12)
If I port a T-Mobile number onto this new contract, does anyone know if that will have an effect on my cashback, or do I have to keep the number they gave me for the minimum 12 month period.

In view of the large sum involved, it would be better to get this query answered by e2save in writing.
You can use their website contact form to mail them - they say you get a reply within 72 hours.0 -
Thanks. I suppose it would be better getting the answer from them in writing and keeping a copy if they say it's ok.0

the cashback is on the contract not the number0

Correct - but as they set great store by getting you to send in appropriate invoices to claim cashbacks, and if you change your number the invoice from Orange will have a different number to that originally sold, it will be safer to have a written confirmation that changing numbers won't affect the cashback.
Unless, of course, you will underwrite any problems in the future for Genie!0 -
Please post e2Save's reply as I'm interested as I'm sure others are
Many Thanks0 -
For others interested, ask the question on ordering; I was offered the option with a different dealer. Easier to do it at the beginning0

I got the following reply:Porting your number will not affect your cash back, however, we only
port numbers across to O2 and Vodafone, all other networks will deal with
that themselves.
So I guess that means it's ok to port another number onto my new contract.0 -
Does anyone know the OSPS policy on this please?
