1899.com - How to contact?

Hi

Does anyone know how I can get hold of these guys?

Their website pretends to allow you to contact customer service but instead it just brings up a list of FAQs with no actual way to email Customer Service.

The email given in some of their emails (service@something or other) bounces back too!

I've been incorrectly charged :(

Thanks in advance.

I think that only the credit card companies can sort this out if they threaten to pull the plug on these companies unless they sort their act out. We should all be complaining to the credit card companies, Trading Standards, Watchdog, etc.

I think you will find this just to be an automated service if it is the same as 18866.

I have also been incorrectly charged by more than double the amount.

On my invoices and itemised calls page it says itemised calls one amount and on the same page next to it in the 'total' it says more than double the amount and the same in my invoice.

I want to contact them but not sure how, I've heard that its near impossible to do and people do not get replied to. Any ideas how to get it sorted?

'Williamberry' who is thier customer support officer and how do you contact that person please?

If I cant get it resolved I will just leave them is this easy to do?

It is true that the customers services link in the invoice email leads to nothing. There is a link saying 'if you want to query your bill' then another link in the list saying 'I think I have been charged incorrectly' Click that expecting to get some kind of contact form ad you just get an explanation of thier charges and connection charges and that is all, no help and no chance of getting any refund by the looks of it.

I have searched the site following various leads that end up knowwhere this is a huge con and really worrying when they have access to your bank account. Would contacting ofcom be of any use with this company? they are deliberately putting every obsticle possible in the way of contacting them to do something as simple as make an enquiry about a bill which should be very clear and strightforward without hassle to make contact with them.
    Thanx

  • Hi all,

Just to add to yesterday's post I am checking this out, but Finarea (the parent company) are notoriously difficult to get hold of.

Can those that have been overcharged PM me with details of the overchargin - who your landline provider is, what calls you're making and how much you've been charged.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for that. Could you give me some more detail. Ie, what type of number you were calling, the per minute price you were charged, what you should have been charged and how long the call lasted.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

The calls are always to Australia, New Zealand or the States.

In particular it has been the calls to NZ which are being over charged - website says one thing, voice before it connects you says another and the charges are another price yet again!

    Has happened on most calls.
