Pushy Buyer-Can I stop her viewing AGAIN!

Hi we have exchanged contracts with our buyer. She is a pushy person and has viewed three times with family, friends etc. She asked to come round again with her dad and we said we were busy sorting the house out...we are emigrating to Australia and have to sell everything! She backed off only to call again and ask if her plumber could come round to do some measuring up. We told her nicely that we really could do with having some time to get everything we need to do done and it was only a three week wait! She was quite insistent that she should come round. I again said no...she was starting to get me pretty annoyed at this point! I don't think she is used to being told no.
We had a letter from our solicitor today to say that she will exercise her right to inspect the property on the 6th August before authorising completion.
Is this normal? Also, if it is normal and she decides to bring round her plumber, electrician, father and whoever else she feels like inviting on the 6th (when we hand over the keys)...what can I do about it, if anything?
Thanks for the help.

"Authorising completion"? She sounds a bit up herself. But there is a standard clause that says if the property is in an unsuitable state at completion (like inhabitable, burnt down or whatever) then the buyer can pull out without penalty. I guess she's checking for that.0

I think, if you have exchanged contracts then you can tell her to wait until completion, but why give yourself the extra stress? It's not like she can gazunder you now. I'd let her in."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

She is providing a shed load of money, lots of which will pay off your mortgage, but it also lets you get on with your plans to go to Australia. Say yes, but ask her how many more tradesmen she is going to bring and ask her to bring them together rather than in dribs and drabs.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I can imagine it is quite annoying given the circustances but she's probably just excited that she's buying a house and wants to see it and imagine her stuff there. At least she's keen and seems unlikely to let you down at the last minute.0

this is the biggest purchase any of us ever make.. if she is a FTB she is bound to be careful.. let her in.....0

As you are emigrating, its not entirely unreasonable to be more cautious, as you will be hard/expensive to track down should there be anything post-completion that is not as it should be. A pre-completion viewing should be allowed.0

I sympathise with you, my buyers have been here for over 3 hours in total already on 3 different visits, not to mention various tradesmen etc. coming to check everything. I did get very annoyed and pretty rude when the drain men were here for 4 hours and I came home from work and could not use the loo or shower as they were inspecting the drains STILL.
I know she's buying the place, but at the moment it is still your home. You need to be firm. We said no more people unless they were here for under an hour and we had lots of notice. She needs to wait a few weeks surely.0 -
Flaming heck. I sold my last place in 07 & my buyers were bugging me all the time , constantly coming round with half hours notice. It was a pain, but hey I had a buyer & accommodated and indulged them. I can't see any problem at all with letting them come round as much as they want with whom they want. If your going to Australia - theres ever more reason for buyer to be cautious.0

She sounds bolshy.... but I unfortunately think that you have little choice but to let her visit. If you don't want it on the day of completion (and I wouldn't personally) then ask her to make it a couple of days before (or when it is convenient for you) for her and ask her to notify you who will be attending.
It would worry me that she might try to reject completion due to a few unclean carpets or skirting boards or something though.0 -
