Vodaphone Gold Customer

I have been called by someone saying they are from Vodafone saying that I am now a gold customer and they then went on to try and sell me more PAYG sim cards etc. Is this a scam as there is nothing on Vodafones web site about Gold Customers and it was an Irish number who rang. I have been with Vodafone for a number of years but only on a low tarriff, not a high spender.

Has anyone else had these calls? Is it Vodafone?

Micky you're not alone in receiving that call. I got one yesterday and exactly like you, checked out the website to see what it was all about. I found no info.. So, I've put a query to Vodafone. Was quite concerned as I now think it wasn't a genuine call but they knew my price plan and everything!

I emailed Vodafone to ask what it was all about and didn't get a reply. I just forgot about it to be honest!
