So the woman who was the Organiser was only an volunteer at the time - how could she have the authority to ask you to leave if that was the case?

Hmmmm - she was the only organiser there at the time, volunteer or not.

disgraceful - and they are charging £1200 for a five night self catering stay, staffed by volunteers!!

Someone is raking it in there, and the expenses of vounteer staff, who sound poorly equipped to deal with the challneges, and at the expense of families. The bottom line is that you were not paying fees that would be commensurate with your child being poorly managed by cranky volunteers with aspirations of 'healing' autistic children - the price you were paying, you were well within your rights to expect trained, professional employees. Not this amateurish and poorly managed set up.

I wonder how they stand in relation to insurance, liability, police clearances, risk assessments and other aspects of professional practice - they have a legal duty of care to their charges, and this should be part of their everyday practice - I bet it is not.
  • If a 'healer' (IMO, a religious nutcase by definition) started waved their hands round me or mine, I'd have been asked to leave for hospitalising her, Aspergers or not.

    Go for the jugular.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

OP keep us updated on this.

This is disgraceful behaviour, and the attitude of Gillian stinks on so many levels.

One minute a volunteer, the next the owner, the next a parent with an autistic child,

Don't let this go £1200 is a hell of a lot of money to loose due to incompetent staff

Well, I go for a nice evening out to the pictures with my big DD - I come home and the blog has been removed along with the supportive comments, and total lie commets by Gillian!

Same Difference said they had to remove it as Gillian said it was currently at a legal stage - another lie!

I'll try and get it back up tomorrow - If anyone else has any ideas where I can post it, please let me know.
