Ryanair

Just want to have a whinge

I have never had a problem with Ryanair but I thought they operated on a system of the earlier you book the cheaper the flight.

I booked a flight on 26 June 2010 and it cost £32

My cousin booked same flight last night and it cost £26

They don't, never have. They operate on a system of supply & demand which generally means that prices get higher the nearer to the departure date but it can also mean prices dropping if there isn't a demand for that flight.

And it doesn't take into account "optionals" like booking fees, checked luggage, check-in fees nor does it take into account sales.

definately doesn't happen. looks like supply and demand and timing etc.

i booked last night via travelrepublic which uses ryanair on my occasion of travel and was actually cheaper than ryanair online
then i thought i would check travelrepublic again and prices went up straight after

i wouldn't moan on a few quid as i just spent close to £500 2 adults 1 infant 2 hold luggage to gran canaria ;-(
    wish mine was £30 odd
  • On a similar note, I'm looking to book flights to Croatia soon.

The dates of travel are from 7th to 17th of July, and we'd preferably go from Stansted to Zadar.

These flights are currently available for around £250.

So my question is, should we book up now or hold off hoping for cheaper flights?

We are quite flexible on the dates (one or two days either side is fine), and which airport we fly to/from.

    Cheers for your help :)

    Id book now.
I doubt prices will come down as I think its the only direct flight from UK.(they pulled the Edinburgh-Zadar route b4 the first flight had even taken place)
With extras such as card fees, luggage + seat scramble a +£250 fare does not make Ryanair good value imo.
If you are flexible and willing to go via Zagreb or Frankfurt, then https://www.LastMinute.com have some schedule full service flights around those dates at £200 ish
