You made NO suggesstions untill after several of your posts were removed for obvious reasons,
You could try to help people or butt out?? :T:T:T
In reply to the op I have said several things, mostly honest in that it is probably to late to act now, Ifr you have a problem with that then lets discuse?
Your colours have been nailed to the flag by your previous posts; as in "I struggled from the gutter, why can't you?"
A million and 1 reasons to follow.
I made no suggestions until it became apparent that the OP had done the right thing and revealed he had contributed to a personal pension for 25 years. Because, frankly, there was nothing to suggest.
You have posted nothing but bland platitudes and a 'ooooh i dunno, there's not much you can do really, is there mate?"
Still . . it made you look nice and caring, didnt it?0 -
If I were the OP, I would be looking into the getting some money from the private bit of the pension just to see if it is a possibility but also , with nothing to lose apart from the income now, I would tell the bosses that it is very hard to keep up with the work due to current fitness levels ..it is possible that they may be able to suggest an alternative role to take him up to the state retirement age but just haven't realised that he is struggling.0

"WE", are trying to help, a few !!!!!! aren't. Support the reasonable folks, don't shoot them down
I have missed the point entirely?? Did you read what what i put? It said SOME of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Not all...
I know from personal experience that there are some brilliant people on this site with some fantastic sound advice. What I hate to see is someone asking for help and getting patronised by self important people. With love, POSR

Thats not what I meant, what i was trying to say is that you probably missed the really derogatory bland statements or you may have felt a little more disgusted.;)
Support the reasonable folks was a comment aimed at posters of this stuff, not you.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Perhaps you can suggest what he can do at 64 then? And bear in mind my comments which didn't say there was nothing he could do were made before the OP gave any indication of a 2nd pension.
Post #18 sums up best why people have found your posting on this topic offensive, when you suggested that poor people should not have kids, one of the posts you had deleted, you took it to a whole new level. You seem a very sad individual.

I think a trip to his GP is in order. The OP doesn't really go into details of his physical health but I think maybe he could do with a general health check, perhaps even a week or so off work (not something I normally recommend but now and again I think it's necessary). Sounds to me as though the OP may be suffering from mild depression also and he may be able to get counselling for that. It's no long-term cure but it might get him over the next year until he can retire.
This is not really a pension question, it's a kind of 'I'm generally p--d off with my job and life and, short of winning the lottery, don't know what to do about it' situation.0 -

Err how do you figure that out???
The op is being weighed against all other employees, from what he has said, do you agree??
Do you really expect him to be able to compete in a physical environment at age 64?, how old are you???

How interesting.
For a start I think you will fnd that it was Lokolo who made the post about not having kids unless you can afford it. Not me. I'm sure he will confirm it if he's around.
Secondly I had no posts removed. Sadly I have no power to remove posts.
I suggest that if you're going to attack me for my posts you should make sure it's me who posted it.0
