NTL Question

Hey.
I have been with NTL for TV, Phone and Broadband for about three months now.
I have just recently scrapped the digital tv package for a better deal with Sky.
So I only have my phone and broadband with NTL.
Now I am currently on 4MB for £24.99.
As far as I am aware, I could drop the broadband off my package or the telephone, but I would have to keep one for the subscription period i.e. 12 months.
I was just wondering after reading some other MSE posts that if I rang up NTL and said something like "I would like to ditch the broadband as Sky are offering me 10MB for a better price etc" .... do you think they would do a better deal on the broadband price? Or would they just let me drop the package and just keep the telephone?
Cheers
