Polystyrene or wool? Which is best?

    Try the DIY board for more answers but i would go for polysterine as it is cheaper

    The insulation they put in our walls last year was a sort of feathery kind of product, which I got to see quite a lot of flying around in our back garden!

    Most companies who do CWI use this - glass fibre, which is blown into the cavity. Not sure a lot of them give you a choice as to what they use, as their machines are calibrated to use X amount of the insulation to fill a particular cavity wall size.
  • Sorry....I have a sun lounge with thin walls. I want to put insulation on the inside and plasterboard over it. Wool or polystyrene?

    So you don't want cavity wall insulation then because you've got no cavity?
  • I will have when I cover it with plaster board. I just want something around 50mm width and am trying to find out what's best to use...

    Yes, but you don't have a cavity to fill with a traditional cavity insulation injection solution.

    I think Screwfix do rolls of stuff that might help, but you could always use fibre glass loft stuff.
