I'm after a new mobile, I like Sonys xperia x10, but I really want one that I know will work with Memory Map.
I do a lot of hill walking and the thought of one thing to do it all is very appealing, not to mention leightweight.
I know the I-phone has an app for memory map and I was wondering if anyone knows what other phones work with it as well.
I'm reticent about the iphone as I have sony bluetooth earphones and speakers that I know don't work with an iphone, It seems a waste of money to lose nearly £200 of accessories.
Thanks for any advice and help,
Carlos.

Unless they've converted it MM will only run on Windows mobile handsets, as the x10 is Android you're out of luck.
There is a programme called viewranger, which is written for Android which will do much the same as MM. The app is £4 from the market place and then you have to get the maps. The UK map is £60. I was looking at it only yesterday. . .0 -
Cheers john.
I've used MM for over 5 years now and full UK mapping on 1:50 & 1:25. All my routes and future projects are on MM so I'm not keen on using a different mapping programme.0 -
I know what you mean. My lads an outdoor instructor and has the same problem.
We were only looking for MM for Android yesterday (without luck).
We've thinking of trying viewranger and then seeing if it's possible to import the MM data sets. As they both use OS maps, we're hoping that they're in the same format. If it works (or we can find a work round somewhere) I'll let you know.0 -
I used memory map on my HTC HD an it worked perfectly. Im now using a HD2 and memory map works great though some options are a little fiddly due to the lack of a stylus.
As mentioned above it only works with windows mobile, but there are plently of phones to look at.0 -
MM is memoray map! I thought you mean OS mm. Have you tried OS map for andriod? The HTCs with Android are good phones and the market place has alot of diffrent options.0
