Hi all!
Just a quick question. After getting stung on ebay ie selling good quality stuff and receiving only £2.50 (luck of the draw) we have a 2 and 3 seater sofa and a digital radio to sell. We placed ads with the above places but as yet we have not had a sniff for either and am looking to reduce the prices (Sofas currently @£250 and Digital radio -new- @ £60. Any tips where else I can sell these to reach that amount or near? Any tips for Freeads etc?
Many thanks.

Gumtree maybe? If you don't want to sell something for £2.50 then you should set a realistic start price. Likewise, an item will only sell for what people will pay for it. Good luck.0

The £2.50 was via ebay and I was monitoring other similar lots for over a week! On ebay it's a fine line between generating interest and not selling. Will look at Gumtree now. Thanks.0 -
I have never sold a thing on Gumtree or the freeads. In fact i recently had an item on just about everywhere that offered free adverts as it was a tricky thing to both photograph and wrap for postage. I got one email offering me 1/5th of the price and buyer also wanted to pay by paypal and get it posted as well so I was no better off trying for local sales.
In the end I listed it on ebay , took some time to add lots of very detailed photos and it sold last week at more than my start price, when the start price was actually a figure I was more than happy with.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Freecycle/Freegle has made it more difficult to sell anything like sofas - why buy when there are so many for free,. so you may have a problem with selling the sofa.. The basic idea of stopping stuff going to landfill is great, but it has taken away an avenue of earning money for those who don't have a lot, yet it's difficult to get anything for free as so many people are asking for the items.0
