Morning everyone! :hello:
Money withdrawing day today – still had £15 left over from last week! Woohoo! Only need enough to get me to Friday, which is PAYDAY!!! :j I still have rather a lot of money left in my bank account too, which is fab – it’s all going on the credit card at the end of the week! :T Today I’m doing my grocery shopping, hoping to go up at lunchtime first and get the Whoopsie meat, then bring it back down to the office and put it in the fridge. Then I’ll go back up after work and do the rest of the shopping. You see, I went up last week at lunchtime to have a look at what was Whoopsied but then I left it until after work to actually buy. MISTAKE! There was hardly any of the good stuff left, so I have learnt my lesson! This week is a two phase shop!
On my list today….- Check online banking
- Do grocery shopping
- [STRIKE]Withdraw money to do me until Friday[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Top up Oyster card[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Bring lunch from home[/STRIKE]
- Call bank with hubby’s details
- Check how many Advantage card points I have
- Write out meal plan
- [STRIKE]Drink free tea from work[/STRIKE]
- Check when library books have to go back
Sounds good, OliveOyl!
And I've diarised contacting you Jo when I'm in the UK, which maybe sooner if Popeye gets sent home for a management meeting in September :j:j
Looking forward to it!
That’s all I can think of for the moment! I hope everyone has a great day!

Off work again today. Spent a nice day with DD1 and two little GDs yesterday.
Catch up day today though, before I have to go back to work on Wed.
I have / will:
Checked online banking - as expected
HM meals
Finished tax return thingmy :T:T:T:j:j:j BUT the bad news is I got a £1101 tax bill
At least it is done though - it was really complicated this year
Chased insurance company over contents claim - after more than 2 weeks they now decide they need to send a loss adjuster out after telling me all this time they wouldn't - bang goes another day's leave
Washed paintwork in downstairs loo - it was really grotty and has been bugging me for ages (I know how to have fun on my holidays don't I :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
Still to do:
Get rid of horrid old paper lampshade in downstairs loo, and think about a new one.
Wash grotty kitchen floor
Tidy up patch of newly seeded grass that little dog has scratched up again in her neverending quest for the phantom mole, which also keeps digging it up, before OH sees it.
Water plants and pick tomatoes
Make terrine for friend's party at the weekend, and some for us - using up game meat from freezer
Ironing :eek: I can't believe I will have done so many horrid jobs in one day - tax return, grotty paintwork, kitchen floor, ironing  I think I deserve a glass of wine later
(not till this evening I hasten to add - I am not THAT far gone :rotfl:
Might have a go at cleaning cut glass decanter this evening using tips from OS board :A0 -
Hi everyone - I am absolutely pooped today but I don't know why. Never mind. Today I:
1) Worked 6 hours
2) Packed lunches all round and all meals from stores.
3) Exchanged library books and got out 3 brand new releases that I was after!
4) Checked banking, quidco, did SC etc
5) Investigated cheap travel options so I can do something fun with the kiddies on my day off on Friday. I think we will go to Swanage on the bus, and take a picnic. Or maybe the New Forset? Oh decisions, decisions.
6) Will meet OH after his work and watch a free cinema screening of The A-Team. Will sneak in some sweeties too.
7) Looked for smart clothes in the charity shop, but didn't find any today. I get to be scruffy for work at the mo but have to look ladylike when I start my new role. Boooo! I am one of those people who always look scruffy no matter how much effort I make. :rotfl:
8) NSD so far, although I may have to get diesel later.
Have a good evening, L x0 -
things I have done:
*renewed library books
*free clicks
*free scratchcards
*checked banking
*borrowed money to avoid charges
*updated budget

Well hello there
Wannabe01 please can we have a
I couldn't find the thread for a bit
Trying to think up a list today…
- quick shower
- made breakfast at work
- free tea x 2
- a friend made me a bracelet (she's talented like that!) with some freshwater pearls from an old chain I would never wear
- keeping an eye on e bay; might think of something else to sell - sold the make up I put up on BIN yesterday for £20!
- arranged for EA to come round to value flat
 (that's me nervous but excited btw!)
On the downside I'm off out tonight for a few drinks for a friend's birthday - hopefully not too expensive - and I'm wedding spending like I'm debt free…

:rotfl::rotfl:ah we know we're truely mature and adapted to this debt slaying malarky when we consider a night out with the girls a "down side"! When I was younger I would scarifice food for a night out

Scammed a few coffees/sugars/hot choc sachets for my campervan and put them in a bag I took specially - also topped up at the airport when got a cuppa and at a cafe when out for lunch - only one or two but they soon add up and are brilliant if you run out of stuff
Work paid tea/brekkie/lunch
Nice free shower in hotel lovely brekkie as well
Got given 4 free trees from a work colleague
Took french student home and I can claim the mileage
Watched topgear on the iplayer (avoid the licence)
Hens laid 4 eggs when I was away so thats brilliant
Fed hens
Must check bank
Have to pay phone bill today or I will get a charge
Changed electric supplier and claimed a free energy monitor
Checked quidco
SOld a book on amazon since resetting my 'on holiday' settings - so must *find it* and post it tomorrow
Few other things to wrap and post
Must figure out what ot have for tea
Plant some shrubs and maybe take some cuttings
Walk dog
Tried to ring kids, no answer so left an offline message on msn
I hope you're all good!!!

catmiaow - not sure if you'll see this but well done on the job
just caught up with yesterdays thread
La E - If I'm out for lunch/coffee I generally take just about anyting we eat from a couple sachets of mustard to sugar etc (not tonnes but enough to make a difference to me) I also take napkins and sometimes those little wooden coffee stirry things as they are great plant labels
I often have the stuff rattling around my bag as well, so I'd started having a plastic bag in my rucksack for any 'wee additions' to the stash. Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I couldn't find a senior manager to speak to for love nor money today. but when I've updated my list I realise there are loads of things that have made me happy so it wasn't such a bad day after all!
