Tue 27th July - What small DFW things have you done today?

:)When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :)

Good Morning Everyone,

What a lovely warm sunny morning here today, hope the weather is nice where you are.

First job for me is to sort out what work I need to do today.
Aiming to get Debt Free.

    Morning ladies!
What a fab day many of us had yesterday! Well done to you all!

Today is another day spent at home and amusing sister for minimal cash! Think we're going to go to the cinema after lunch and, as OH is off work today, think he's coming with us - probably to see Inception.
Sis has a disabled person's cinema card that allows the carer to go for free so we'll split the cost of her ticket between us making it about £3 each instead of £6-ish. It's raining here too so indoors activities are the order of the day.

    Also today....
    • Checked banks - not good - a broken boiler, hoilday and a new fridge in the month I don't get paid is not good news!
    • Check quidco
    • Walk dog for free exercise - in the rain again - boo!
    • Hoover and dust downstairs
    • Get sis up and ready for the day - she's having a lie in as is OH (lazy beggars!)
    • Make sausage casserole for tea using up freezer bits
    • Boil eggs left over for sandwiches for lunch (hopefully they've survived the broken fridge)
    • Put dry washing away
    • List 2 things on ebay (need a bit of extra cash now more than ever!)
    • Stay in and watch the telly tonight
    • Have a look at food stocks and start a meal plan for next week
    • Tidy kitchen
    • Sort out the downstairs loo/cloakroom - turning into a dumping ground and needs sorting and cleaning
    • Do any surveys that come
That's it for now. Have a good day.
