Sorry.. not much. Got a message saying you are about to uninstall a programme then I uninstalled it. When I put it on again a blue screen error report came up and I had to boot the laptop up in safe mode. I then shut it down again in safe mode and restarted. I then went into device manager again and the wifi card thing was there again.0

ok, in device manager, right-click on the wifi card, and click Update driver. if it asks you can it check on the 'net for one, do so.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

if you right-click on the wifi card in device manager, click properties, what does it say about the device status??......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Hiya. Just restarted laptop yet again and now I can get wifi. Not sure what you got me to do but it worked. Thank you so very much. Can go to bed now I am up in 3 hours! Many thanks again.0
