Cheapest SIM-only contract in the UK?

What's the cheapest SIM-only contract in the UK?

In the Netherlands, I used to pay €2.50 for 100 minutes/10 sms and that did me just fine (simple.nl) but I don't even seem to be able to find anything as low as £5 here. Am I just looking in the wrong places?

Orange offer "Orange5" which is a 36 month contract offering a free phone, 50 minutes and 50 texts each month with another free handset after 18 months, cost £5.00 per month

Talkmobile offer a Talker £4.99 SIM card for 24 months, also comes with a free phone, 50 minutes, 50 texts, free mobile and unlimited internet.

I know technically these are not sim-only as they come with a free phone, but I don't think there is any SIM only deal for £5/month.

Other than this, competitive pay as you go for 8p a minute and 4p a text is likely to be better deal than committing to £5/month.

I think the OP is after a SIM with minutes, though, not just texts.
