@PeteMc, did you buy it directly from them? Did you try emailing/phoning? As i said, we've always had first rate CS from them.

I phoned them as the PC was unusuable when the HD went bang and that's when they said tough. I remember him saying if you bought a Medion today, the HD has a 5 year warranty (massive consolation that :doh: )

As I said it was bought through Toys R Us and then I moved to France so a little difficult to go back to TRU when it bust!

my first computer was a Medion and it was excellent! I have had various Medion/Tevion items over the years and can recommend them as being brilliant value and good quality.
Where do I buy them? Aldi of course!

My Tevion USB DVD Creator was a bargain and I have to say has never let me down.

Its good to see a thread praising a company for a change.

Here they are. Aswell as many of the other people i know who dont live here. They ask what brand, you say Medion and they dont have a clue who they are - nor what they produce.

As for the price, a lot of the products i've seen in Aldi arent offered by medion themselves. There may be a close match, but never the exact same. So it would suggest they manufacture those products for them to be sold by Aldi and not themselves.

Bought my medion MAM2100 through the medion website. It's chucked it (daughter board, common fault apparently) after around 16 to 18 months. It may have been a refurbished one though. My Medion PC is still going strong.
