Rod Stewart tickets cancelled

we all need to get together for those that want to complain, if we all had tickets as such, why did some get in and others not. we should all have got in, I would have went, but mother in law, don't think could have stood for 2 hours, in case we had to stand#0

OMG that's awful - someone needs to email the Sun and get them in the mainstream, named and shamed!
Hope you all get something sorted : ( x0 -

i'll be banned from entering anything again!! oops, emailed the sun/mirror/the glaswegian and the herald.!0 -
OMG this is bad I fill for you all.
Just to think alot of people who got the email did not go and there was still people getting turned away.0 -
This is terrible, what a disappointment, I hope everyone of you complains and gets some decent compensation.:hello:0

I've just found this thread and I'm another one who got the cancellation email after 4pm today so I didn't bother going but good luck to those who got in after getting there without knowing.
So glad I checked my emails before heading off - I also emailed AEG straight after getting the email but haven't had a reply yet !0 -
Fuming  didn't get the email and headed off to SECC only to be handed a piece of paper a shrug and a mumbled 'nothing they could do'. Having read this thread I'm genuinely pleased for those that eventually got in but don't think the rest of us should let it go. Count me in for any complaint actionJan: £150 Jelly Bean Hamper0

I too checked my email just before phoning a taxi to receive the cancellation email. Reading all these posts has made me feel a wee bit better that I'm not on my own.
My partner took half day off work for this. Having M.E. has meant I rested for the last few days just to be well enough to attend this. Although, the tickets were free, I think that for everyone one for us this has cost us precious time and money. I've also emailed AEG but have no reply as such.
I just want to say though that I'm very gratefull to the person who posted this compettion. Regardless of how this has turned out I was chuffed to bits at my win and have been so excited since I found out.0 -
ive just got back from Glasgow and am so bloody upset and annoyed. For a start why the hell will i want to accept 1 ticket to go to London in 2 days time. I spent £20 petrol to get there and back, got a baby sitter for the night and my husband had to leave his work early and i could have had work tonight aswell.
I really dont think it was a wise idea to let some people in and not others, id like to know how they chose! we had left before any of that as didnt want to waste my time any more.
i felt sorry for the other people there too and hope they do all complain as well as im not going to let it lie
x
btw - for any other mse peeps that were there i was in a really bright pink coat! you couldnt miss it!0 -
What an awful mess. I really feel for you guys.
I agree about targeting the local and national press. A photo of disappointed Rod fans outside the venue with useless WEMs or tickets and Rod CDs might be a good photo opp.
Might also be worth sending AEG an e-mail pointing them to this thread and telling them that their reputation's taking a hammering on one of the top 10 websites in the UK. People take notice of the MSE name.
Might also be worth posting lots of posts on the official Ents24 Facebook page and Rod's Facebook page - it's got 204,000 fans, so someone from Rod's management might notice it and do something to help.
Can't find a Facebook page for AEG, but found their contat details:
AEG Europe

Fax: +44 (0) 20 8463 2301
Suggest people bombard them with calls and letters about this.
Hope someone does something to help, although their sloppy management and appalling customer service has already spoilt people's evenings and even those who got in are probably feeling pretty stressed.Big thanks to Martin Lewis for helping us start to sort out our finances!!!:A
Best Comp win:X-Box 360!!
And thank you to all posters! You're wonderful!0
