*sighs* why do some people have to be so difficult?

I would pull out! This board is full of people having problems with buyers / vendors and you do not need the grief. If they are like this on the shed subject what next will be missing when you move in? The EA included the shed and the vendor must know it and after getting the sale, they think, they 'try it on'.
Seems a little harsh to pull out over a shed! Up to the OP as to how important it is but most things can be resolved by negotiation.0 -
Not worth getting stressed over.
Lots of vendors try tricks on people to get extra money.
Don't offer them any extra money. Just make it clear via your solicitor that you expect the loft empty and all their rubbish removed. If they want to take the shed let them it may actually be a blessing.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

make sure you do a attic check on these sellers...skinflintsIt is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Well, it seems like the seller really did want the sheds...
After a rather tense few days, we've agreed ona lower price for the property, so hopefully exchanging early next week. Fingers crosses that nothing else happens now!
For the record, on this particular property, Vincenzo's type of shed was probably closer than Swipe's.It was a reasonably valuable part of the property to lose, and not one that I was just willing to let go.
Thanks for all your comments- certainly the knowledge, tips and advice on this board has helped me "hang in there" during the initial and later negotiations.0
