Just make sure you don't have the minutest thing wrong with your boiler or it is more than five years old of they will codemn it and try to flog you a new one for twice the normal price. Read my post

But don't believe me, do a search on Google and you will find loads of info on BG scams. Even the Times newspaper started a campaign against them.0 -
My combi boiler is 8 years old and its passed its service check every time, and earlier this year BG came out in response to a breakdown call-out and fitted it with a new part. No trouble at all with them.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

BG are coming out next tues (if they turn up...I am cynical re BG!) so I will wait til then & see what they have to say...

They 'say' that legally if there is a problem, they have to immediately turn off the gas, so be warned. This effectively holds you to ransom and sets you up for the sales guy to call.0
