Lol Plasterer, I've always read 'suisie' when I see suiside's posts. I was a bit surprised to see he was a good looking bloke and not a pretty female when he first started posting. :rotfl:

    What do you think ???

A house with pebble dash looses more heat in windy conditions..due to it presenting more surface area (could be twice as much !!!!) to the wind ..the dash acts like cooling fins.

In still air conditions ..(not often ..but always when there are below zero conditions)...the pebble dash keeps layer or insulating air around the house ..

My house though (not pebble dashed) has always felt colder and harder to keep warm in windy conditions .... and these occasions happen more than the sub zero conditions.

In sub zero conditions 0 - minus 6 ... my house has always been easier to heat than in windy 0 - plus 6 conditions .

I therefor conclude that for me...pebble dash would not be beneficial to my heating bill.

    what do you guys think.

something to ponder before you decide.

Maybe have a look at the speciality thermal paints here ?

Some handy stuff on there and it seems quite cheap.

Spraying pebbledash is defo the way, just like yanks treat their wooden houses external slatted walls. Loads of that on Youtube too.
