Sky broadband

I have been looking at signing up for sky tv,broadband and phone but when I put in my phone number they say they can't supply me with broadband. I don't understand this as I currently have phone and broadband with talk talk. I wanted to sign up online rather than by phone to get quidco. How can I get round this?

    You cant.
If Sky have'nt LLU'd your exchange so you can get bband, then all you can do is wait.
Just because you can get an LLU service from Talk Talk does'nt mean every other provider in your exchange is LLU.
I can get TT & O2 in my exchange but not Sky.

as above check the samknows website on the broadband checker to find out if your phone exchange has sky,

the other problem could be that if you have a FULL LLU service from talk talk it means that your entire telephone line is not actually held or owned by BT which would mean Sky would not be able to find it (your number) when it searches the BT database - hence not able to supply the service. if this is the case you might have to do a 'return to doner' transfer to move your telephone line back to BT (this can cost up to £130 however some places will do it free however you would have to pheon them) which would then mean Sky could hopefully find your line and number and therefore do a transfer.
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

Also apparently the Sky Connect service which does not use Sky's LLU but is a repackaged BT 8mb service is reputedly very poor.

Talk Talk put tags on the line which mean that Sky won't be able to take it over directly from them. You will need to call sky to find out how this can be resolved.

If you are talktalk adsl and phone it is likely that you are FMPF fully llu'd at your exchange, as a result of which you no longer have a ative bt line, so are not available to other isp's to switch using the normal mac process, so first you would need to get your line back to a bt line, the best way to do this is by using the post office for telephone only, as it is line rental only and a minimum of a 1 month contract for calls, where as bt don't charge to re connect your line but tie you into a 12-18mths calling plan,
  • It's to do with talktalk being unbundled. You aren't on a BT line so your number will not be recognised.

Go on samknows.com, check if you area is LLU with sky then call sky and explain the situation. All will be done on their end.

This is the exact problem we had and talktalk were funny !!!!!!s with us, refusing to let us leave and came up with a fictitious contract we hadn't agreed.

    So good luck!
