Thanks for all the hugs for BB - she is feeling very spoilt but very hungry!
Oh - and LW, she doesn't feel bad about messing the utility area (where the back door is) because I've never told her off for going there if she's caught short for whatever reason. She only ever goes there if she's desperate and my belief is that there should be somewhere a hound can go if desperate without being told off - just in case the owners are unavoidably delayed or whatever. I'd much rather she went there which is a tiled floor and easily cleaned than on other less cleanable and carpeted surfaces.
Vet was lovely as always. They are so reasonable there. BB has had an antib inj, an anti-inflamatory inj, her temp taken (which was, surprisingly, absolutely normal though she feels warm to the touch to me!).
I've also been given some pro-biotic/kaolin stuff in a syringe (I think that may be what you were referring to Vanilla) to squirt in her mouth to help solidify things. And some worm tablets - she's due some.
But, I can't feed her until tomorrow morning. Poor love - she's visibly thinner than she was this time last week. We went straight to NN's when we got back and NN gave her a good fuss but no goodies! (NN always gives BB treats on a Friday night gin and gossip at hers).
BB is snuggled up on my bed now and I'll leave her there for a bit because the poor chickens have just looked and squawked at me in a sort of "well, aren't we going to be let out this evening?" way so I'll pop them in their run, clean their indoor cage and then, only then, think about dinner.

Hi all
feeling a bit sorry for myself today .. AF showed up & she wasn't supposed toI'll feel better tomorrow but just now it's horrible. Anyway.. Downstairs is presentable for visitors arriving tomorrow afternoon - 2 adults & 2 children - but upstairs needs work! Still haven't sorted the 2nd spare room, which means that the daughter is going to have to share with dd so that the son can have the back rm. At least the parents get the newly decorated v nice rm so not all is lost
Dinner is cooking, DH on his way home after the week away, & a large glass of Shiraz is on the go.. It's going down a treat !!
Hugs/spoons/extra wine to all that need them

Awww onestep - hope AF doesn't stop long
I feel a heel at the moment. The chickens have had their playtime, I've put my dinner in the oven. I have just fed the cats and BB is looking at me AGAIN wondering what she's done wrong. She's even inspected the vastness of the kitchen floor for the remotest of remote specks of sustenance...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I have decluttered an embarrassing amount of money in meadowhall today. We are going to a family party next friday; DD tried a dress on in new Look a few weeks ago and I was going to let her have that but we went in coast, found a more expensive one BUT it fits beautifully and far better than New Look so we had that. I did get 10% discount as she's a student (well 14) ...then we walked into another shop just looking and I spotted the perfect pair af sandals to wear with it...did she like them? erm yes...tried on; bought. Accessorize for accessories saw us pick up braclets - her ears aren't pierced; she cannot wear a necklace with the dress as the neckline is embellished.
So I don't feel too bad about the reduced Blouse and skirt from Jaques Vert for my friends wedding and the matching fascinator and the matching handbag all of which were reduced but still made 3 figures. Still I have something to wear when I go to the races, now...
and thanks to this site we had half price tapas for dinner...
