Does anyone know what might be wrong with dd?

Thanks have her booked in. As far as i know she is as happy as, lots of friends, everything ok at home etc..not sure very odd.

Surely contagious would be her being sick or upset tummy or rash or similar? Running round the beach with them yesterday climibing in rock pools etc doesn't indicate to me that she is very very ill but yes something is not right. The parents know too and have the option to remove their child if they are worried..without souding off most parents would rather go to work than worry about little xx being ill or catching something as guess where they send them anyway?!

Ok all day yesterday she was fine, we had lots of walking, lots of running etc, she seemed fine and if she wasn't i didn't spot anything or see her in pain etc..and trust me i'm now paranoid. I asked her every hour or so how she was and she said ok. She had soup for dinner and was ok then we went to the cinema..just as id'e paid for the tickets she said she didnt feel right again and i said we would go home, she didn't want to so we stayed but i said at any point we could leave and got seats by the door. She was fine all the way through laughing and when it had done we met dh as he watched something else with friends. She then sat looking pretty fed up and wanted to go home but i think that was from being bored!

This morning i have spent 48 mins on redial to the docs. they can fit her in at 9-30am for 5 mins so will see if we can get anywhere. She says she if fine again but if anything like the last few days she will be off again later. She is not keen on going but like i said i am now taking her anyway!

Hmmmmmm, not fine to go to school, but miraculously fine by party time :think:. I'm sure she's not the first child to get away with that one but it's important that doesn't become a regular pattern.

Excuses? Having to walk, and not having faith in the doctor....

She's 11 - she doesn't get to decide if she needs the doctor - YOU do. You're her Mum, and it's your responsibility to seek medical attntion should she need it, not ask what might be up with her on a money saving site. Would you hesitate if one of your mindees was ill?

Belfast girl thankyou for your reply.

I took her this morning..don't be late they say we only have a 5 min apt at 9-30am so i rush down with her and we sit there for 40 mins..guess what they say she will 'get over it at some point' and are not sure what it is..i could have told them that!! I explained after 6 days of it i had a feeling i would be back but we will see how she is..my sister can vouch for her being fine earlier singing away so for those of you who think i don't worry enough she won't die!

Thanks! I hope so..as a family we are very very rarely ill and even the doc laughed as hardly anything came up on his screen for her in years!
