Taxi - Sorry forget to say that is brilliant news about going up to see ds and dgd in Scotland, don't forget the penny or inflation the £1 coin.

Years ago, we'd gone on a coach trip and were staying in Fort William, me, mum, dad and mums friend. she was so funny, we got to the hotel, and a member of the Hotel came on the coach for introductions, May (mums friend she was in her 50s), decided she liked the look of him and chased him, he hid in the toilet ......

Then we were walking down the street, mum and May quickly dragged me across the street....... then about 30 secs later their on their hands and knees, looking around, mum says......... where did you drop your contact lenses..... (just as 2 men in kilts were in line with us), dad pipes up loudly, you dozy mares shes got her glasses on....... never seen the 2 of them get up so quick.

May was a star, she use to work with mum, everywhere we went she wanted a souvenier, Gretna Green, it was a set of cultery, (wasn't even marked), the motorway services - coffee pot, hotel rooms, always a towel.

Breakfast times she used to say can't eat cooked breakfast, but always ordered one, and put the items in a roll for dinner, as she said she was travel sick. The next trip we all went to Leeds, for the Old Time Musicals, came back, and we all had a few drinks, thou I was worst for wear, I woke up with my head over the loo, managed 1hr in bed..... goes down to breakfast..... they put a cooked breakfast in front of me...... I went green, she grabbed the plate, said if your not going to eat it I will, and scoffed hers and mine. She passed away 9 yrs ago, but its funny how silly things stick in your head. xx

Well have had a cracking morning...just look at that sig....lol

Sold my gold for £1700 !!!!!!!!...so took £100 to treat DD2 and me and put £1600 into savings along with the £105 I'd put aside for savings.

We had breakfast out and then went to starbucks...how decadent are we...lol

DD2 didn't find anything she wanted ...so I just gave her some money to spend on what she wants.I didn't buy anything either but it was good to go out....tiring but good.

Am nearly at the total I wanted to be at christmas which would be £25k difference between mortgage and savings...so feel that's a big achievement

Really good to be able to treat yourself - it's always the way that when you have money you can't find anything - but what a nice position to be in!
