Nice to see you getting out and about, although 100 miles in a day would be pushing at as a regular occurence!
What a pity about DD1s dog: I hope that whoever took it takes good care of it or sells it on to someone who does.
I hope she enjoys her new one, and and new one would be a nice treat for you after everything. Please call me 'Pickle'

Hi Taxi
If the doctor from your ESA medical said you will be fit to work in 6 months then you should be awarded ESA again and put in the work related activity group.
The other group is called support and I think you would be expected to be off longer than 6 months to get it.
Sorry I can't remember what you got last time, support group people get £5 per week more than work related activity group people so not much difference.
Remember that once you have the letter it will be 12 - 16 weeks and then you will have to have another medical and so the cycle continues.

fingers crossed it works out for you with the two dogs taxi ... that would make a lovely addition to your family0

Hi Taxi - just been catching up.
Hope you manage to get the doggie of your choice, we keep thinking about getting a scruffy little terrier now my work hours are less than they were - need new gates to keep one safe first though.
Well done on the weight loss - you are doing great. I decided to join ww on-line again and give it another go. I'm finding the pro-points a bit different to work out though compared tot the old points that I was faily used to.
Makes me mad when people who are really people are put under added pressure and worries about medicals etc, if you and many like you could - you would be out there working.
I'm on facebook but only tend to read what others have written, and of course play games - BUT I have limited myself to 1 game - it is so addictive - as bad as this site LOL - but I feel as if I can speak freely on here which I wouldn't do on FB at all. I have been trying not to spend as long on here either at the mo though as I'm spending waaayyyy too much time infront of a little screen. But I need to keep up with my virtual friends too

Thanks everyone...not been up to anything as have been really tired the last few days.
Managed a little walk to Aldi and back yesterday for a couple of bits.
EE....if I've read my medical report correctly I will have scored 30 points and I think you're right that I'll be in the work related group...it's a big worry that they are causing people that are sick so much anxiety.I haven't had the deciscion yet but at least the medical people agreed that I wasn't making it up...she thinks with the right treatment I'll improve just a pity that it's a 16 week wait for pain management clinic.
I was in the support group originally due to chemo and radiotherapy and am happy enough to be in work related group..it was the sheer panic of them stopping payment and saying I'm not ill that would've upset me had it happened...will feel better when they let me know what's happening.
Milann..you#ll soon get used to the pro points and don't be afraid to use them all...it's fantastic for eating out.0 -
Totally agree about them causing needless panic with all this about the cuts all the time, it must be very scary.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

ditto to that idea, it sounds daft so simple but so effective, I know a while ago there was a suggestion from the ambulance systems, whwew in your phone you put ICE 1, ICE 2 etc, as in case of emergency number xx
That is also a really good idea. Something which a lot of folk forget though is with the current trend for smartphones which are then security locked so only the owner can get to the information on them,.....at which point nobody else can get to your ICE numbers! If your phone has the ability to set the homescreen with a photo, then take a picture of a piece of paper with your ICE contact numbers on and use that for your homescreen. Also has the advantage of meaning if you lose your phone and someone picks it up, you have a better chance of getting it back.
Taxi you know you are REALLY sounding like your old self again now! It's so good to "hear" - I'm really pleased for you! Your poor DD having her dog stolen though - bad enough losing stuff from the house but losing a pet as well must have been terrible for her. Lovely to hear that she's found a new friend though! I'll cross my fingers for you for things working out with the one you wanted as well!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
