Well done on the weight loss thats fantastic news, your going to be off out buying new clothes every week at this rate or buy yourself an adaptable belt.
I have been helping friend lose weight and she has just passed the 3 stone mark but she says when she looks in the mirror she doesnt see to much difference and I did read an article which says its takes a while for the brain to recognise the difference. We are off out shopping for new clothes for her holiday soon and she is so excited.

Facebook - Im on there but dont use it I dont get the bit where people post, "just going shopping" or "little johnny has a cold today" do these people have nothing better to do, I think im getting old LOL

    Xmas Saver!
thats brilliant news about the weight loss, but that is absolutely unbelieveable about having to go for a medical, do they think you make an overnight recovery, good luck with that.
Sounds like a fab Friday ngt with JJ coming, he's a little star. xx

Takes a lot of balls (figuratively ofcourse) to get through cancer treatment - i know it doesn't help much, but when you read of someone else who's told the big C to get stuffed it always kinda makes you smile a bit and makes me (who had a much less "difficult" cancer) feel pretty lucky! As for the weight loss, just how the heck - seems every time i go to clinic i put more weight on, i know i'm married to a bottle of juice 24/7 but that really takes some going, i said i was going to lose weight this year properly (19kg i lost during treatment now having been put back on) but meh, i just need some sort of lightening bolt to sort that out!

keep it up & enjoy life!

    Hello and welcome

Glad to see you've beaten it yourself.Don't worry about your weight as you'll do it when your mind is right.
I have lots and lots to lose and the time just feels right now and my life is too short to live it in my pain with my blubber...
Iwas at Wws when I got diagnosed so gave it up while going through treatment and then rejoined 5 weeks ago.

Was talking to DH last night about this ESA business and he just said not to stress about it and we'll manage without it if needs be.I said that I'd try and drive the cab but he said no as it'll not do my back any good...he's right as I can't sit very long.
you'd all laugh at the position I have to lie in to type on here.

DH said just to concentrate on getting well this year..which is my plan anyway.

Not planned what I'm doing today yet as am tired today..so will just see how the day pans out.
  • Taxi it will be fine!!!

Hopefully you will 'pass' the medical and be able to continue on ESA for some time. If you don't you can appeal and while the appeal is waiting for a Tribunal hearing (over 12 mths) you will continue to get £65.45 per week so not as much as you are getting now but at least something to help the finances along.

Thanks EE that is my exact plan of action as it is for everybody else.

Have had quite an enjoyable day today .DH is off today and I had a few jobs I needed to do in town so we got a taxi..it's just as cheap as getting the bus when there's 2 of us and not time limited like town centre parking.
We went into travel agents and paid £915 off the holiday that I'd saved in the house and showed them our travel insurance that they wanted to note.
Then went into £1 shop as needed batteries for my kitchen scales...those pesky round ones like they have in watches/calculators etc.....came away with pack of 8 of those, batteries, ben 10 goggles, ben 10 arm bands, ben 10 swimming ring, dentastix for my dog and a pack of 3 dog toys for DS3 puppy....bargain price £6.
DH had a look in currys while I sat on a bench in the sunshine.
Then went to Game...didn't buy anything but DH wants a x box
Around to Evans as wanted swimming costume and jogging bottoms/t shirt for gym....didn't buy anything as they haven't got summer stuff in yet...lol...so will need to wait....could order online but wanted to try them on first.
Went to KFC where DH and I had mini chicken fillet burger and fries...very cheap and not too many points...yum
around shops in houndsill but nothing there
Then finally into Argos where I needed a car seat for grandkids got mammas and pappas one with £40 OFF SO ONLY £59.99

What a great day with loads of bargains! I've highlighted my favourite part...
I have two large crystals hung in my windows and at the moment the sun is shining on them and casting swirling colours round the room. Don't you just love sunshine :D
Ooh those £1 shops are lethal aren't they taxi. I have never been able to buy just the one thing I've gone in for, but they are good value for a lot of things.
Have a lovely rest of the day
