How annoying! I was coming on looking forward to some positive news for you.
Hope you're feeling ok today, apart from that x
  • Fairly normal for SS in my experience (sorry if there are any SS lurking but this is typical) but extremely annoying all the same.

  • Taxi completely annoying and inconvenient for you and DD BUT even more ridiculous is the fact that DGS could actually be in danger for all they know? You/we know he is safe but I assume they don't so if someone is off sick no one steps up to the plate to keep kids safe?.... they just have to 'wait'.........what a system.....if simple 'basic' jobs have a system in place if someone is off sick then surely a critical service like SS should have an absolutely water tight back up system in place...not rocket science but obviously it is for your branch of SS....good grief.

  • Simply appalling - as you say, people get sick, it's a fact of life at this time of year, but for no-one to simply makes some calls and reschedule apointments is atrocious. Just more stress that you and DD can do without.

On another note - is your hair growing back the same colour as it was before? I know several people who have lost hair through chemo, and when it came back it was a completely different colour!

    Morning all,

Hypno ..yes it is a different colour..think it may be grey..not sure as not enough of it.

Am still annoyed over SS...KM nakes a good point that he could be a child in danger...he isn't ..thankfully.DD is on her way to school with him as I bought the bus ticket yesterday for her and she hasn't had a drink since I went in my dressing gown to her house..so alls good.

I've just locked myself out of DHs banking and stuffed up the resetting bit so will need to sort that out later.

We have had a bit of snow the last couple of days and lots of ice and it's very cold.Am so glad I had a new boiler and another rad and digital thermostat etc installed last year as the house is much warmer now.
