just phone the local garage and get them to collect
or phone the AA and they will require you to pay a higher premium to join with an immediate call out
i must admit i would be wary of the semi automatics outside warrenty
repairs can be very costly
Thank you
The price is what we are concerned about. My OHs research has discovered that other people with a similar issue have ended up paying out between £1500-£1800 for repairs :eek:0 -
well as always you need to weigh up the cars value vs cost of repair vs scrap/spares or repair value
i had a friend had a car with a flappy paddle gearbag and it destroyed itself on the outside lane of the motorway!
all repaired under warrenty but it would have scrapped the car if he had to pay
back in the day it was fairly easy to swap out an auto box with a manual when they went faulty
i doubt its so easy with multiple ECU's,canbus and semi automatics!
however gear it in mind as an option0
