People slate the NHS but my friend lives in America and the pressure to pay insurance and her medication bill is huge! we may wait a little longer for investigations/treatment than we would like but it is definately better in the long run than America. The NHS may be antiquated in many ways and perhaps unsustainable in the form it is in today but the private medicine alternative doesn't bare thinking about in my opinion!0

John Bishop was on at the local comedy club about a year ago. He started his set by talking about Liverpool getting Capital of Culture. I started laughing hysterically (don't think I'd got over Newcastle - Gateshead not getting it!). He got really upset and kept saying 'That wasn't the punchline' while searching the audience for the culprit. Fortunately I had sat quite a few rows back!!! (Really embarrassing!)

Hi everyone :hello:
Really late in posting today, have been playing nurse to sick hubby - he has a cough and a high temperature as well as aches and pains
Poor hubby.
Spent some money today as I was getting him stuff at the chemist and some nice fruit for him to get vitamins and minerals on board. Tomorrow is a family picnic in the park, so I've lifted out some chicken thighs and drumsticks to defrost - planning to do a homemade "KFC" for my nieces (well and us!
)
Think it's bed time for me now!
Bye!

Morning everyone.
Claire, well done on your takings from Big Cheese.
I love the NHS (not for reason mentioned earlier in the week!):rotfl:and I'm glad I don't live in the States with Health Care insurance etc.
Today I'm going to Bath for some window shopping and trying on some stuff in LTS. I will also resist the smell of new books in Waterstones too!
It will be nice to have some 'me' time where I'm not sat in front of a bleeping computer.
Have a great weekend.
Lots of love,
LMC xx0 -
Hi LMC and all
I love Waterstones, quite a dangerous shop for me to go in!
Well today I have skirting to paint. Carry on with clearing the garage and study. Tiles to clean. Tiles to paint. Then I think I will start stacking things to go to Newcastle at the back of the garage.
Soon the house will start to look like a smartish house rather than one I live in!!!
