Capitalise on house price falls (Buying tips)

the original post was specifically about tips on buying a property cheaper so really it should remain.
No brit, it was just another installment of your endless pro-crash propaganda mission in a one-man-war against house prices and homeowners.
Someone should move this thread to "debate house prices" board where it belongs.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Really think gazundering isn't right, you've agreed a price and you should pay it. I think over the course of the time it takes for house prices to fall and between offer and completion the difference is minimal.
I've never sold a house (only just buying) but I imagine most of us in my position will buy more than one house in a lifetime, I think the whole system works better when people treat each other well.

I see your point. However the original post was specifically about tips on buying a property cheaper so really it should remain. Please ignore the bulls as they try and deviate it away from the original post. They are a little upset that house prices are falling even in Aberdeen.
really? I see it as the forum equivalent of announcing on Facebook your parents are away for the weekend and there's a party at yours - all invited0 -

I don't think increasing asking price before a house is under offer is anything like gazundering or gazumping for that matter.
When EAs and sellers took advantage of the recent shortage and pushed asking prices up, there was nothing wrong with it from their point of view, just business.
But they may have overdone it.
In a falling market, buyers may also think there is nothing wrong with gazundering, simply because they want to avoid negative equity.

House prices are predicted to fall for the rest of this year- so if you’re looking to buy, what should you do?UK house prices rose by 0.4% month-on-month between June and July, Land Registry figures show.
It takes the annual increase in prices to 6.7%, meaning the average property in England and Wales is now worth £166,798
