    Many universities are finding that candidates who've only just scraped a C grade at GCSE are unable to understand some of the mathematical parts of the course. As a patient I'd be reassured to know that all nurses were numerate and able to understand the difference between 0.01 and 0.1. (I believe that a nurse's understanding of this was the cause of a fatal overdose last year.)
